Do you accept insurance?
Like most Philadelphia psychiatrists, Dr. Ascher is an out-of-network provider, meaning that he does not accept payments from insurance companies. If you are interested in seeking reimbursement from your insurance company, contact them directly to obtain information about your “out-of-network” coverage for mental health. His services are also an eligible expense for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Please click here for more information.
When you come in for an office visit, payment is expected at the time of visit. Cash, checks and credit cards are all accepted. You will be given a receipt with all of the information that will allow for submission to your insurance company. Dr. Ascher keeps a credit card authorization on file for every client. In the event payment is not made at the time of appointment, the charge will be submitted to your credit card.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Dr. Ascher understands everyone has unexpected changes to their schedule. With advanced notice he will try his best to accommodate any schedule change you request. However, you will be charged for missed/cancelled sessions without 48 hours notice unless he can reschedule your appointment within the calendar week. It is important to realize that “no show” sessions cannot be submitted to insurance for reimbursement.
