For a subset of patients, the Sinclair Method, can be used to decrease an individual’s craving for alcohol. Other medications such as acamprosate, baclofen, topamax, and neurontin can also be used as well. For patient’s with severe alcohol use issues, antabuse (disulfiram), may be effective.
