A significant proportion of professionals and senior executives suffer from adult ADHD. Many of these professionals, nevertheless, capitalize on their beneficial ADHD traits – of passion, creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, drive, and resilience.
Dr. Ascher has years of experience providing Adult ADD/Adult ADHD treatment for heads of corporations, senior managers, attorneys, entrepreneurs, physicians, dentists, veterinarians, psychologists, elected officials, government employees, performing artists, professional athletes, and other public figures. Many of these individuals were never diagnosed when they were younger and the diagnosis was missed largely due to uninformed teachers, medical providers, and patients themselves assuming that a high IQ precludes ADD/ADHD among other myths.
Individuals with inattentive ADHD may make careless mistakes, lose interest quickly, and struggle with certain verbal instructions. They can come off as lazy, forgetful, or disinterested, and they may live with these hurtful labels leading to shame and feelings of unworthiness or defectiveness.
In addition to medication and individual therapy, Dr. Ascher and colleagues can help you increase productivity and efficiency by setting up structures and accountability to reduce procrastinating on tasks and long-term projects. Areas of benefit may include:
- Planning and prioritizing
- Developing consistency and follow-through
- Increasing ability to self-inhibit and self-monitor
- Work/life balance
Dr. Ascher can help you cope with Adult ADHD
